Remembering the good times with ASDA Photo Wall Calendar and Photo Book*

I find that I tend to do a big clear-up at the end of the year, no not like Spring Cleaning/home clear-up but a clear-up of all photos on my phone and computer and get everything backed up in various storage devices.

As a blogger and photographer, I basically take hundreds of photos every month, mainly of food picture, photos of my children as well as product photos and videos for the blog.

Sometimes I find that the good time memories are lost in the hundred of photos hence I do make an effort to pick out certain moments and get them printed in a calendar for us to look back on.  We love working with ASDA Photo and have featured their products on our website many times before, two of our favourite items from their website has to be their A3 Wall Calendar and 14″ x 10″ Hardcover Photo Book.

As we often say, keep taking the photos as children go up so quickly and most importantly get them printed or they might just be forgotten.

A3 Personalised Wall Calendar

As a busy mum of two children, I find that I tend to forget important dates such as all our children’s friend’s birthdays, family anniversaries etc hence having a wall calendar with empty boxes where I can mark these important dates means that I am constantly reminded of them.

ASDA Photo also gives the option of adding photos in the box  or text, you can pre-type the events on your calendar.  You also have the option of changing the type of font of the text. Creating the wall calendar is quick and easy and you are able to create choose your size preference, ranging from desktop to A4 or A3 sizes.  I found that I was unable to enlarge the box to see/type the text directly but had to type the text on the left side.

Their calendars are all printed on classic 250gsm paper and with various design templates to choose from with the photos appearing sharp and clear.  If you are using a low quality image, the software does prompt you and asks you to change the image.  There are standard templates available so you can either use a single photo or use their standard photo collages.

14″x10″ Hardcover Photo Book

ASDA Photo offers softcover photo books, hardcover books or layflat photobooks, we have selected the hardcover photo book. We are featuring the 14″x10″ hardcover photo book in this post. This hardcover photo book album comes in various sizes starting from a square 8″X8″ to the largest size which is the 14″x10″.

The great thing about their photo books is that you can pick landscape, portrait or square albums in six sizes and the photos are printed on 200gsm paper.  As a standard, the albums come with 22 pages but you can add more pages as you go along.

You don’t need to be a photoshop expert as their online software offers a few standard template designs so you just need to upload the photos, click and drag to create a unique and personalised photo album.  You are also able to add personalised text on each page.  You also have the choice to pick a matte and glossy finish, I have chosen a matte finish for my album which is featured here.

What we thought of ASDA Photo Book and Calendar?

I ordered the A3 sized wall calendar as this is something I tend to order every year, as it is an easy way for me to keep track and remember important dates.   I find that as years go on, I am adding more notations to the square empty date-box also means I can quickly jot things on it if I need to.   I have to take my hat off to ASDA Photo as I have printed lots of wall calendars over the years and this calendar has been the best one for quality. The images were also crisp and the colour vibrant. I only wish that I did not have to type the details on the calendar every year and that it would automatically pull in the dates and I just need to change the photos for next year.

As for the photo book, I have purchased ASDA Photos’s hardcover photo book before so I am very aware of their high-quality photo book and that they only use premium inks to ensure that the photos really stand out on the pages.  I do like the fact that I am able to add on extra pages to the album and that there is a standard template on their website to ease the creation of the photo collage.  Photoshop experts will also be able to create their own templates and then export it into the album, if they prefer.
