The Geomag Magicube by Geomag is an eco-friendly construction game for kids ages one to five. It consists of nine recycled plastic magnetic featherweight cubes that when placed together, stick to create lots of different shapes, following diagrams perfect for independent and simple construction for your little ones!
As a Mum of two to a four-year-old with an ever-changing attention span and a one-year-old who has just found her feet, finding the time to sit down and play a box game together is a struggle and construction games usually out of the window too because every mother knows the fear of having tiny pieces of lego around when you’ve got a baby that wants to eat anything it finds!
The Geomag Magicube solves all of the issues above and makes great fun for children that are around my children’s ages and in-between. There are many possibilities when it comes to creativity with the Magicube – as you can see by the box, you can create over 9 different animal shapes, giving younger kids the excitement of guessing which each animal is before they even start. The diagrams are simple to follow and the different colourings of the different shaped cubes help with the placement, making little work for parents – phew! There was even time to relax and enjoy a brew!
So keep on reading to find out what we thought about it.

What did we think about it?
Little assistance was needed in regards to helping my four-year-old build the different designs, so it really was just lovely to watch her get excited about building the animals all by herself – my only role was to try and keep the baby away! When my eldest had completed all of the diagrams, the little one was also able to enjoy the blocks; just big enough to not fit in her mouth and light enough for her to not hurt herself (or anyone else for that matter!) as she explored the shapes and the magnetic feature – which again is such a light, delicate attachment so no chance of pinched skin on little fingers!
What is also great about the Magicube, is that it doubles up as a learning game which makes playtime guilt-free! My eldest daughter is in reception and so she is a little sponge at the moment who loves to show off her knowledge of colours, numbers, adding up and taking away which is totally possible with these multicoloured cubes.
Overall, this is a great buy for both parents and kids; for kids to enjoy and reap the rewards of what they’ve created independently and for parents to shop sustainably and watch their little ones enjoy both building and learning elements with smiles all around. Thank you, Geomag!

About Geomag
Geomag was founded by Swiss creator Claudio Vicentelli and they create an array of construction games suitable for lots of different ages, all made in Switzerland. What I love about this brand is that they are eco conscious. When you’re a parent you see SO much plastic in kids toys that are soon to be disregarded and massively impact our environment. Geomag use recycled plastic which I think is just wonderful.

As an auntie to a twin who are about to hit three years old, I love this review and relate so much to need to find safe and lightweight toys. They are that throwing age, but also love pointing out colours and creating things, so this review has come at the best time for me! I love this and I love that they can do so much with them!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Ashlee, so glad you shared it with us
