The Rainbow Blots by Carlie Wright
[Ad-gifted] Rainbows have been such a staple symbol of the past year in our homes symbolising hope and solidarity throughout the pandemic. After spending our time with rainbow hunts around the village, drawing a rainbow on our home and painting little rainbow feet, I knew this book would be a hit with Teddy.
The Rainbow Blots by Carlie Wright is a playful interactive story suitable for children between the age of 1-6 years about a Mummy Rainbow who drops her baby blots off to us to teach us the colours of the rainbow! The book has beautiful bold illustrations throughout by Victoria Mikki which were completely captivating for our little eyes.

What did we think of The Rainbow Blots ?
We absolutely loved this book! We have been practising our colours every day and The Rainbow Blots book was a perfect fun addition to learning with a lovely story. Each colour had two pages one with the cute little blots and the other with the blot and its favourite items which of course matched their colour, Teddy spent time on each page looking at the blot and taking his time to admire each item they had.
At the end of the book, the blots turned into their favourite item which Ted found most amusing! Then, towards the end of the story there is a page with colours to identify what they have learnt throughout where I would ask Teddy to find the colours on the page. This was a fantastic way to interact with your little one and seeing how far they come along with their colours. At the very end, they ask you to your own rainbow blot with your favourite rainbow colour. Teddy has carried this book around with him most days.
How much does The Rainbow Blots cost and how can I order a copy?
This paperback copy of the book is priced at £8.99 on Amazon whilst the Kindle edition is priced at £4.99 or free for those with Kindle Unlimited, however, personally, I would recommend the paperback version for children. Please bear in mind prices may differ from this as Amazon tend to change their prices.
