We love all types of toys and games, no matter the shape or size especially during the summer holidays as we are always thinking of ways in keeping our little ones busy and creative. One of our favourite online toy stores, Wicked Uncle recently contacted us to review some of their toys and presented us with a £40 voucher code. From the value we were given, we were able to order the Pac-Man Handheld Game, the BrainWavez-IQ Puzzlers and the Doodle Designer Accessory Bag. These items were picked by my two children themselves (my 9-year-old daughter and 6+ year old boy). So here’s what we all thought of the toys.
Doodle Designer Accessory Bag
My daughter loves to doodle and she enjoys getting creative by using colours hence this doodle designer accessory bag is just perfect for her. The pack came with ten washable fabric colours as well as a zipper bag which measures 25cm x 22cm. She was able to personalise the bag, machine wash the bag at a low temperature of 40 degrees (the bag is made from 100% cotton with neoprene lining) and redoodle again. The bag itself is super cute and perfect to store hair accessories, make-up, jewellery or stationery essentials. A fantastic gift opportunity for children to doodle, be creative and keep busy. My daughter decided to hand wash the bag at one point in the sink, and the colours started splashing all over the walls and floor and towels, luckily the colours are washable so no problem there. Pac-Man Handheld Game
Measuring 9cm x 7cm, this pocket-sized handheld version of the classic arcade game has the original sounds and gameplay to entice and kept my son entertained at home and when we were out on long car journeys. The handheld game come with LCD screen and 4-directional controls and also has a keyring attached to it. The aim of the game is for Pac Man to accumulate as many points as possible by collecting dots in a maze, while avoiding the four chasing ghosts trying to eat him. It was lovely to watch my son play the handheld game and my dad (who also loves this game) play the same game on his tablet as they sat next to each other. My only issue was with the size of of the gadget…that this could strain the eye with prolonged use as the screen is smaller than the other gadgets we own. The game requires 2 x AAA Batteries (which is not included) and is priced at £15, you can purchase one for your child here.
BrainWavez-IQ Puzzlers
This is a fun collection of mental teasers and classic conundrums to test your brain, great when you get the family around on a Sunday after a Roast Dinner. The puzzlers, comes in a compact metal tin box and consists of 100 puzzle cards with thought-provoking challenges like…Why are 2001 US dollars worth more than 1999 US dollars?…What comes next, O, T, T, F, F, S, S? My kids found this game a little difficult (as the age recommendation for this is 12+), nevertheless, we are keeping this for when they are slightly older. The puzzle card measures 9cm x 9cm x 5cm and is priced at £6.95, get one for your family here.
