I’m not sure if it’s an age thing or not; however, I was very excited to unbox the Hoover Direct Upright 300 Vacuum Cleaner when it arrived. It was like Christmas arriving early! Removing the vacuum cleaner from the box was really simple mainly because it is so lightweight. In fact, it weighs less than 5kg, which is just what you need in a vacuum cleaner. Hovering the stairs or moving from room to room while cleaning will never have been so easy!
The bright, light blue and grey upright design is flexible and versatile. This is helped by the 80 degrees steering angle. This ensures that the swivelling floor nozzle moves gracefully over your home and furniture. Speaking as someone who has a variety of floors, as most homes seem to have, I’m a fan of the simple switch that you can slide across from hard floor to carpet (I’m not going to lie, I’m so lazy I do this with my foot!). This means that you can move easily between the different types of floors without any hassle.
What Did We Think Of This?
We have a small dog and we love her dearly, but don’t love the hair she leaves behind! The Hoover Upright 300 comes with a free mini turbo brush for pets (which is worth £20). This means that you can get into those hard-to-reach areas that pet hair seems to gravitate towards. As well as this, the vacuum cleaner has a H13 HEPA filter. This traps allergens and helps to purify the air in your home. It’s also washable, which adds to the cost effectiveness of the cleaner. As well as all of this, the vacuum cleaner comes with a 3 in 1 Dusting Brush, Upholstery and Crevice Tool for above floor cleaning. All of these tools can be stored on board so that they are at hand while you clean.
If you’re usually a fan or cordless vacuum cleaners, the cord length is 8.1m, so there’s plenty of scope to get your cleaning done without changing plug sockets. It also means you don’t have to remember to re-charge, which is a winner if you’re as forgetful as me! The bin capacity isn’t as big compared with some of the other comparable vacuum cleaners. However, it’s only slightly smaller and with the hygienic and easy one-touch system, the dust is removed at the push of a button without you needing to get your hands dirty.
I know it seems obvious, but it’s the simplicity of the design that attracted me to this vacuum cleaner. That and the lovely lines it leaves in my carpets thanks to the advanced multi-cyclonic technology. This means you don’t have any loss of suction and you will not find yourself going over the same patch of floor again and again to clean it properly. The price and design of this vacuum cleaner will make it an affordable and useful addition to your home cleaning kit.

Thank you, this is going to help keep my house clean
I think all pet owners can agree that having a good vacuum (one with a steamer too) is a worth investment. And nothing feels as good as a freshly cleaned space!
So true and thank you for your comment

Thank you for the review! My dog is part husky so she sheds A LOT and our vacuum is just not doing the job.
This might be the right hoover for you
I got one for my daughter as a housewarming gift. It was so small I did not think it would be good but she said it’s way better than her old big one and she just loves it.
I agree, the normal hoovers don’t pick up the dog hairs as well at this
