Review: Santas Workshop: Magical 3D Workshop

[Ad-gifted] How’s your Twixmas week so far? Hope you are enjoying some much needed relaxing time with your family, enjoying leftover sandwiches, indulging in cheeseboards and long walks.

We continue our reviews by sharing about Santa’s Workshop: Magical 3D Workshop which is a delightful holiday craft toy and book that captures the magic of Christmas for little ones. Made by Quarto This box set is more than just a toy – it’s an immersive experience that sparks creativity, storytelling and festive cheer.

There’s nothing like the holiday season to bring out the crafts and toys, and there’s nothing I like more than a toy that engages play and means a little less screen time. My seven year old, Margot, and I were invited to test out Santa’s Workshop: Magical 3D book and as big fans of both imaginative play and Christmas, it was the perfect combination to help get us in the holiday sprit.

The box itself is beautifully designed and feels like a ready-wrapped Christmas gift. Inside, you’ll find a treasure trove of press out accessories to bring Santa’s workshop alive and the box itself becomes an intricate fold-out 3D model of the workshop. There’s more than 30 buildable characters and accessories inside, and a charming accompanying 32-page picture book.

What we liked

We love the detail on the little characters. There’s busy elves, toys, reindeer, a snowman, and Santa and Mrs. Claus which adds layers of imaginative play. Margot loved bringing the scenes to life, acting out festive preparations with the elves who are carrying stack loads of gifts and helping Santa prepare for the big day.

The attention to detail inside the workshop rooms is also very special. Each of which is vividly described in the accompanying book and these little touches make the set feel truly special.

One of the standout features is how easy the set is to store. Unlike traditional dollhouses or playsets that take up significant space, this entire workshop folds neatly back into the box. It’s so beautifully designed though, you could have it out on display for everyone to enjoy.

Educational and Entertaining

The 32-page guidebook offers young readers a guided tour of Santa’s Workshop, introducing them to various characters and their roles in Christmas preparations. The storytelling element adds depth to the toy, making it engaging and fun. Margot was particularly fascinated by the backstory of each elf and the intricate details of Santa’s sleigh.

If you’re looking for a gift that will keep little ones entertained during the holiday season, this is the perfect present. It really helps capture the magic of the season and could be brought out at Christmas time for generations to come, with timeless charm and festive magic that makes this time of year so special.

Where can you buy Santa’s Workshop: Magical 3D workshop?

This magical interactive storybook is available from Amazon, Waterstone, WHS, Bookshop and currently retails for around £20, depending on where you buy it from.
