The Snowman Christmas Eve Box
[Ad-gifted] Christmas Eve boxes have become an increasingly popular tradition over the past few years. Usually filled with an activity to keep your little one entertained as they excitedly await the moment they can open their presents on Christmas morning.
And if you’re worried it’s one more thing for you to add to your never-ending Christmas to-do list, luckily I’ve discovered the Build Your Own Christmas Eve Box.
Bursting with seasonal fun, it’s the perfect gift for children to help them to enjoy the Christmas build up. It’s packed with lots of festive activities to provide hours of fun.
There are two to choose from, the Christmas Eve Box and The Snowman Christmas Eve Box. I opted for The Snowman one as it’s one of my daughter’s favourite programmes to watch on TV right now.
The box contains a 64-page activity booklet filled with festive puzzling fun, a cool The Snowman mask, and Christmas tree bowling game. Your little one can also colour the inside of the box to create a snowy scene for the slot-together cardboard characters, including The Snowman, James, and a cute little fox and hare.
What we thought of The Snowman Christmas Eve Box
I have always loved watching The Snowman at Christmas, it was something my mum looked forward to doing with me. It was like Christmas could officially begin! So, I’m thrilled that my four-year-old daughter is now old enough to appreciate and love it too.
Jemma was very excited when she received the box, especially catching sight of The Snowman on the box’s exterior. When you first open the box, there is an exciting jumble of cards that need to be pushed out (there’s a little tool to help with this) so that you can construct your characters.
The cardboard characters are simple to put together and you can follow the instructions in the booklet that shows you how they slot together. It was too tricky for my four-year-old to do it unaided, but she loved helping Daddy as he read out the instructions.
Jemma loved playing with the characters, placing them onto the snowy scene on the inside of the box, like she was recreating the story.
She was a big fan of the bowling game, where you can knock down the Christmas trees with a snowball. I thought that the double-sided door hanger to hang on the bedroom door on Christmas Eve was a nice touch, and Jemma liked that she could personalise it with her name.
The activity booklet has been brilliant, as it’s packed full of lots of different games and puzzles. She sat with it for at least one hour, when we first opened the box, and there are still lots more pages for her to tackle, though I’m saving those for when I want a few quiet minutes on Christmas Eve!
The cardboard characters are durable and all neatly fit back into the box, so it’s an activity you can easily save for future Christmases. I plan to get it out again on Christmas Eve so that we can colour and play while we watch The Snowman (again!).

What a lovely Christmas Eve box, we have never done them so something like this that is full of great themed activities is a great way to go forward with the tradition. Plus who doesn’t like the snowman
