Review: Swarovski® Birthstone Silver Disc Necklace*

Finding the perfect gift for someone special during Christmas can be difficult hence I always think getting a personalised or custom made gift is your best bet. We were approached by the team at Engravers Guild of London to showcase their Swarovski® Birthstone Silver Disc Necklace which is a personalised necklace with genuine Swarovski® birthstone crystal.

What I thought of the Swarovski® Birthstone Silver Disc Necklace

I love supporting and promoting local business on the blog and Engravers Guild is one such business as it has been around for over 100 years and is still a family-owned company.  The company is still able to trace its heritage back to 1887 which started in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.  They offer beautifully designed and personalised gifts on their website and this is just one example of what they offer.

I was sent the engraved necklace which arrived very beautifully in a box accompanied by a personalised card.  I immediately felt very special and curious about the contents in the box. If you are sending this via post to someone special, no gift wrapping is needed as the box is truly beautiful.  The silver chain has an adjustable length of either 16 or 18 inches and feels very delicate. The pendant measures 15mm in diameter and had my name so beautifully engraved on the disc and the Swarovski® Birthstone.  My birthstone was Rose as I am born in the month of October.   The necklace looks subtle enough for me to wear it every day but yet the birthstone makes it special.  This is truly a lovely gift to give the special woman in your life or even a young adult.  So yes with the lockdown still in place, there’s another reason to go out and support local British business such as theirs’ as you can do all the ordering and get the item delivered in time for Christmas with no hassle at all.

I do love their website and the option to preview the engraving on the screen before I confirmed my order to see how the engraving will look. I have used just my first name (which is 4 letters long) and used the Script 123 Font for this and picked Rose as my birthstone as I am born in the month of October.

I feel the necklace would be great for someone who has a short name/nickname, as when I tried to use a longer name, it did not look as nice, due to the size of the pendant.  If you are looking to get this sent in time for Christmas, do note that Engravers Guild are able to get the order to you for next day delivery as well via DPD’s courier service so you are able to have to in time if you are getting it delivered.
