Sherpa Adventure Gear Fashion Review*

[Ad-gifted] Sherpa Adventure Gear is back with a second wave of items for us to review. In our last review we featured their men’s and women’s spring outdoor wear.

Sherpa produce clothes that have a unique style suited to people who love the outdoors but appreciate a dash of colour. The clothing is specifically inspired by backpackers reaching into the depths of Nepal.

The clothing takes on some interesting pattern work and unique illustrative designs that feature on many of their T-shirts and jumpers. The designs chosen for this review are the perfect addition to your springtime wardrobe where the weather is as unpredictable as it could possibly get, so one minute you need a jumper next to a t-shirt, then maybe a raincoat!

What we thought of the latest items from Sherpa Adventure Gear

The first thing I always noticed with Sherpa clothing is the quality of the fabrics in this selection. We have a Black jumper or should I say more of a sweater, bright patterned fleece and a standard cut T-shirt. I chose these items this time for the flexibility of use and upon receiving the items I can confirm that the fleece T-shirt and sweater are great staples for any wardrobe.

Starting with a black sweater this is a beautiful soft fabric made from 100% organic cotton. It has an illustration in the centre that has clear Asian influences critique of the jumper would be that the sleeves are extremely long. I am on the petite side, but I found the sleeves almost as long as a man’s jumper, that being said I found a solution by rolling up the sleeves or pushing them up towards my elbows allowing them to fit. The sweater also comes in heather grey, which is a classic colour, but the illustrative detail elevates the design from a basic jumper.

The White T-shirt seems to fit on a more unisex basis. I would’ve said it’s a little bit more of a standard man’s cut than a feminine cut however you can buy the sizing to suit you and tuck in or tie up the T-shirt to create your own style, although the fabric is thin, it makes for a light summer T-shirt ideal for warm weather – where you don’t want something so heavy against your skin. This is the same illustration as the black sweater but in contrast, it features in the back of the T-shirt rather than the front. A good thing to note with the t-shirt, is that I have actually worn it quite a lot already and had to wash it, and I have to say it washes so well. It probably could do it an iron (with it being cotton) but I just gave it a shake and allowed the creases to wear out!

Finally, the patterned fleece this has to be my favourite item. I love the colours and the shape of this piece. The sleeves are the perfect length being slightly too long for me but will most likely fit people who are taller and has a nice zip that goes from the centre of the jumper to the top of the neck, making it cosy when needed. Again my only critique with the fleece is that the sleeves are a little narrow so I’m trying to push them up to my elbows, which I like to do when I am hot is a little tricky. They are a little tight however not enough for it to cause a big problem. The other thing I love about this fleece is the shape. Its quite short and sits just on the hips, which is quite a flattering cut. If you don’t like the pattern, you can get this style of fleece in a range of simple plain colours too.

Share as clothing is clearly adaptable to suit a right of people and a variety of uses I like to dress a little on the quirky side and I feel that they capture this essence with some of their designs.
