October Gift Guide Feature for the Whole Family *

We can’t believe how fast time flies and that its October already which only means that we are sharing with you our next gift guide for this month.  We have received so much positive comments from our blog followers and readers on our September Gift Guide hence we take pride in sharing some of our favourite items for the month. Tesalate Towel

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this towel – thinking how can it be different from a standard beach towel, but I was pleasantly surprised. For one, its super thin and is actually double-sided, so you have a beautiful bright fabric on one side and a geometric black and white pattern on the other. The fabric is also unusual – its described as Absorblite Mircrofibre, which means its thin and made from a Polyester Polyamide mix which means that it is not like your regular cotton towel, and a little more like a microfibre sports towel. I have to say though that it is more absorbent than a sports towel, and feels a little more like a short velour than microfibre normally feels. I can say that I LOVE this towel, its great for holidays/vacations and I think it would be definitely worth buying one for the whole family (however at £45 it would be an investment) as they are so convenient to pack in your suitcase. They are light and don’t take up much room, so when you need to maximise space in your suitcase but know you need a beach towel, this would be perfect. The towel is made in Sydney, Australia and its creation has come from the owners of TESALATE wanting to make the perfect, sand-free, beach towel. I can’t confirm how sand free it gets – this living in, in-land UK – but I can confirm that its just what you want from a beach towel, although the price is a little hefty, and until I’ve had it a while I don’t know how long it lasts but, it would be a perfect gift. I was thinking how great it would be as a wedding gift. You could buy him and hers, with a note saying it is for their honeymoon!! Aiwbd Wireless Headphone (Volume Control with Mic)

We were sent the Aiwbd Wireles Headphone which came with an audio cable, USB cable and warranty card. Although this is a great gift for the whole family, we are suggesting this for teens as we found the Aiwbd Wireless Headphones really cool and compact as it is foldable too. It is also wireless so you don’t end up being tangled when you are lying down and watching a show on your tablet / ipad. The headphones comes with five EQ modes for a richer experience and it is very comfortable to wear due to its padded ear-pads and memory-protein ear cushion which makes it comfortable for all day listening. Charging the headphone is hassle free as its done via a USB connector and the headphone is connected to your device of voice ie tablets / ipads, phones, TV or your PC using bluetooth.  It does not need to be powered off as you can also use the wired headphone ie audio cable to keep it charged and best part is it comes with a built in microphone and volume control for easy access. It was not difficult to connect it to the device at all and was almost immediate, the only issue we found was when we connected it to the PC and wanted to use the speaker afterwards, it took awhile to change the connection from the headphone back to the speaker directly and it needs to be fully charged before you take it out on the train with you. Round Mini Jelly Fish Lamp

We were sent this Jellyfish Lamp from Menkind to review and this seems like such a cool gift for little ones especially those struggling to sleep in the dark. The instructions were dead easy to follow as well. The cylindrical lamp came in a box with 2 jellyfish in a bag. We had to insert in 3 AA batteries (batteries not included), water (they have recommended using distilled water but we used normal tap water), some washing liquid and then adding the jellyfish. It took a while before the jellyfish started moving, both our kids were mesmerised looking at the jellyfish (as it looked enlarged through the tank) and frankly speaking I loved watching it myself as its so calming and atmospheric.   The lamp had a multi-coloured LED light (red, blue and green) at the bottom of it and this effect couple with the jellyfish’s tendrils floating behind them was just so soothing to look at, it was almost as if we had real-life jellyfish in the house without the mess and hassle.  It took a while for the jellyfish to move and one of it had a bubble in it, so we had to keep turning it around till the bubble was gone and then there was no stopping it. The jellyfish does not require much maintenance, the only requirement is to change the water when it gets dirty and batteries when it runs out.  Priced at £17.99 this can be purchased here.
