What is unique about this Beauty Spa is that, their treatments are all Moroccan based and the products used also come from Morocco.  I was invited to try out some of their ‘winter proof’ treatments such as their Luxury Moroccan Pedicure with Black Soap and Massage, their Facial with Moroccan Mask as well as Shellac Hands.  These treatments aim to protect the skin against the harsh winter weather and to help keep it well nourished and youthful.

Luxury Moroccan Pedicure with Black Soap and Massage

Most people would not have a pedicure done during winter time as we tend to hide our feet during the colder months and wait for summertime to get them out. But taking care of your feet during winter is so important as the feet still needs attention and the dead cells need to be removed.  I thoroughly enjoyed having the luxury pedicure done, the treatment lasted about 30 minutes and was truly relaxing! I sat down with a good book, a nice cup of green tea and let my therapist (Shakila) pamper me. She started by soaking my feet then exfoliating my feet to remove the toxins and dead cells which made it so soft.

She used the black Moroccan soap rich in vitamin E as well as the Kessa Glove which is quintessential to the Moroccan pedicure to remove dead skin cells without the use of chemicals. She next placed creams and lotions then painted my nails with a colour of my choice. Shakila told me that the Moroccan soap and the Kessa Glove helps to unclog pores and stimulates blood circulation. At the end of my treatment, my feet felt rejuvenated and totally soft.

Facial Treatment with Moroccan Mask

Next, I was ushered into a lovely cosy room with music and dimmed down lighting. I got changed and was ready for my facial. This was somewhat a basic facial which started with cleansing, exfoliating, steaming, removal of blackheads, then the clear honey-based Moroccan mask was placed on my face.

The mask, I was told is particularly rich in mineral salts, vitamins (notably A, B and C), amino acids and contributes to fighting against skin ageing. Used as a beauty mask for millennia, pure honey is an excellent antiseptic, a natural healing substance, and an antioxidant.   The whole process took about 45 minutes and my skin felt deeply moisturizes, nourishes and my face was glowing, I was told that it will take about 24 hours to see the full effects of it.

Shellac Hands with Shaping and Filling

This session was quick and easy, it took about 15 minutes for my therapist to remove my cuticles, shape my nails and paint it with a colour of my choice. A quick pick me up for my nails especially if you are rushed for time.

What did I think about Be Beauty Spa and its treatments?

To be honest, I have never done pedicure during winter before, as I have always done it in spring and summer time so I have learnt something new about winter-proofing my feet during the dry and cold months of winter.  The facial session was very relaxing as well and I enjoyed the sensation of the Moroccan mask on my face and the glow it gave my skin afterwards.

The hand shellac gave my overall hands a nice finish, my nail polish has a lovely shimmer to it and I can’t help glancing at it as and when I get the chance. I found that the nail polish is of great quality, as it still looks immaculate although I have been doing loads of washing, cleaning and typing on the keyboard.  I also loved the fact that Be Beauty Spa has so many treatments available all under one roof. The spa was comfortable and very relaxing, its a fab place to head to for a girl’s day out or just treating yourself to a pampering session if you are experiencing burn out or while the kids are at school.

Was there anything I did not like about it? Well, I wish I had more time to spend as there were plenty of other things I would have liked to experience but did not have the chance to such as the Moroccan Hammam or the Body Massage. Now the million dollar question…would I head there again? Yes, I would, in fact I would love to head there with a couple of my girlfriends / mumfriends to spend a day there just pampering ourselves. How much did the session cost?

The Facial with the Special Organic Moroccan Mask cost £40, while the Moroccan Pedicure with Black Soap and Massage and Shellac cost £40 and finally the Shellac Hands with shopping and filling costs £17.
