Spring Outdoor Fashion Review: Sherpa Adventure Gear*

[Ad-gifted] Our household loves the outdoors but doesn’t always like traditional walking gear or outdoor wear. So when it comes to kitting ourselves with suitable clothing that we love we often just stick with essential layers and a trusty waterproof.

However, we have been asked to review a few items from a brand called Sherpa Adventure Gear and we were pleasantly surprised by some of their unique and stylish outdoor/adventure wear available on their site. They have lightweight fabrics, a wide range of colours and a range of fleece and cotton clothing. They also have a small range of everyday items that blend in well with their outdoor wear too. What we thought of the men’s and women’s wear available at Sherpa Adventure Gear

Our order arrived quickly and was packaged as you’d expect for an online clothing store. We went with one menswear Bhutan Pullover, a ladies’ Tharu dress (cotton) and a ladieswear Chamlang zip-up jacket. When getting inside the bag to the items, the first thing I noticed was the quality of the fabric. Although both the ladies’ jacket and men’s pullover are made from synthetic fibres they both feel really nice and soft.

The dress is cotton and lightweight and although is promoted as a summer item, you can wear it in spring – like how I have styled it for this review – with tights and a jumper/jacket. You could wear it in winter if you perhaps layered it with a light jersey dress underneath – you can be as creative as you like if you want to get an all-year-round use out of it. When it comes to summer, you can wear it loose or wear it again, as I have styled it with a belt. It’s a very versatile cut so can be adapted to suit you. A feature I love with the dress is that it has pockets, not an essential addition to a dress but as a mum a super feature.

Although the jacket is pretty oversized (I chose this larger style so I could layer it with other jumpers) it still looks great on. The colour is brighter than I expected but still works well. I love the fabric – the tufted effect on the outside and the soft fleece on the inside. Another great feature is the pockets, they are big and deep so make it nice to stuff things like your phone or purse and still have room to keep your hands toasty.

The final item is the menswear pullover. Although I found my sizing on the dress pretty generous (even based on the website measurement guides) I think the menswear doesn’t leave much room. The top did for, my husband, perfectly but he could only fit a lightweight t-shirt underneath as it was a fairly snug fit. That being said, I personally think it looks great on him. I loved the pattern on this pullover too, as many of the other menswear items are a little more simple and plain. This top had a bit more style.

We found all the items we received to be well made and from good quality materials. The stitching appeared string and they felt like the perfect style of clothing to suit us for our outdoor adventuring. We want items that crossed over from outdoor wear to everyday wear and I feel like Sherpa Adventure Gear is able to do this.
