[Ad-gifted] Adult scooters are now more commonly seen on school runs by parents scooting to pick their kids up or spotted on the trains in the big cities, carried by commuters heading to work. These scooters are affordable compared to folding bikes and portable (as they fold) hence easily stored away making short journeys accessible for those wanting to get from one place to another with zero carbon footprint.
To promote the idea of clean living and healthy lifestyle, we are featuring Micro Scooters, a brand created almost 20 years ago by Anna Gibson and Philippa Gogarty with the goal of helping parents get their children to school without hassle and to help adults speed up short trips.
If cycling is not an option and you want to speed up your journey, then keep on reading to find out more about The Original Customisable Low Deck Adult Scooter from Micro Scooters which also makes fantastic gift ideas.

What did we think of our Micro Scooters?
We often head to the skate park as a family and spend time either scooting, roller skating or roller blading. On one of these occasions, my husband broke my son’s scooter whilst trying to scoot around and then it dawned upon us that most scooters available in the market are not made for adults even though it is such a fun way to get around and keep fit at the same time.
So when we were sent the Micro Scooters to feature on our blog, we were all super excited to try out the scooter and see for ourselves if it this award-winning scooter was well made as it claimed to be and ‘adult proof’.

What I love most about the scooter is how versatile it is to store away and light enough to transport in the car/bus/train, even for someone like me who is petite.
If you are wondering, Wim Ouboter designed the first folding aluminium scooter 20 years ago as a way to cover short distanced quickly and conveniently. Who knew that a quarter of a century later, this has become a great way to transport scooters around conveniently.

My husband, my almost 14-years-old teenage daughter (who is taller than me), my 11-year-old son and myself tested the scooter on various days and places from smooth surface to pebbled ground and tarmac. Suitable for riders who are 8-years-old and above, the scooter is sturdy and built to last, and can carry up 100kg in rider weight.
We found the ride was smooth and the brakes allowed us to control the speed of the scooter as we swerve around to avoid obstructions hence making us feel safe on busy pavements and parks. My husband enjoyed the speed by while daughter loved that she could get back home quicker when we headed out. My son loved the fact that he had another scooter to scoot on and I loved the fact, that I can now keep up with the kids when they go around the block on their bike rides.

The scooter is stylish and the option to create my own design was enticing. Apart from the scooter colour choice, I could also choose the griptape design and add my name or a short text on it with my font choice. I decided to add the text with “Roll With It“. Its evident that the scooter is built for speed and designed for convenience. Its large 200mm wheels gives it a sturdy feel when riding and there is enough leg room for my husband’s large feet on the deck. The adjustable handlebars also means that we could all use the scooter within seconds of adjusting the height of the handlebars.
So, if you are looking to get fit and wanting to move around from one place to another in a convenient way, or get to work quickly, then it is worth investing in the adult Micro Scooters as it is not just a one-off investment but a life-long investment and this also makes a great birthday of Christmas gift for your partner or family member.
