Summer Toy Review: X Shot Water Warfare*

[Ad-gifted] When it comes to the summer holidays my three tell me it’s a six-week-long weekend. We aren’t going abroad this year and aren’t away as such apart from a few trips in our caravan for the weekend, but this isn’t stopping the fun we will have. Whether it is playing at the park, going on our bikes,  or simply playing in the garden, we try to find fun in the simplest things. But one thing my crazy three love to do is to play with water, so when we got asked to review the latest X-Shot Water Guns, we were all super excited.

We’ve had some warm weather, which means that the best way to cool down usually involves water. The great thing is about water pistols, is that you don’t have to have a huge garden to accommodate them, and a great way to have fun without the hassle of space needed for a paddling pool. It can even extend to a street water fight if you’re good friends with your neighbours, which I can imagine will be happening on our street at some point soon this summer.

What they thought of the of the Zuru X-Shot 

My kids said these are the best water guns they have ever had. My seven year old would like to give them a ten-hundred star (I think this means its really good!!)! Equally my other two would definitely rate this as a five star product.

When I asked them what was good about them? They loved how they have a different sprayers on the biggest gun, which made the water shoot out into a flat spray, a larger sprayer, a three hole sprayer (or triple threat as my ten year old re-named it), and a standard sprayer, which worked like a hose.

There was good variety within the box, and it was able to fit all of the guns inside, with sections to place them back into. They also enjoyed how they received two of each gun, which meant there was no fighting over who had which one, and its great when wanting a big water fight with several friends.

The other advantage with the X Shot water guns, is just how easy they are to fill up. They were super quick which the kids definitely noticed and mentioned when reviewing the product. This takes out the hassle of a grown-up having to be at the hose all the time on fill up duty. Which is an advantage as it means they can play independently.

As we mentioned above, we filled with the hose but another great way to fill them up is to fill up a bucket/pool so you can dunk the gun in and fill it up and play that way. It means even if you have little ones (over three as this is the recommended minimum age) they can still easily fill up the gun alone too.

They really are a great purchase with continuous fun, and if you have a garden storage box you can just pop them in there and keep them stored away outside the house, which means that they can easily be accessed again by the kids when they want to get wet during the summer, and they are easily stored and sturdy enough to be put back there, and kept over the winter.
