Mother’s Day Giveaway & Review: Pure Night Gift Set by Pure Lakes*

Starting with the cleanser, this a light and creamy in texture. It doesn’t foam due to it not containing any soap like substance. You simply rub a small amount on your face and rinse it off with warm water. It left my face feeling soft and moisturised which isn’t always the case when using regular soap, which can quite often dry out your skin. I have extremely sensitive skin and this did tingle a little on application, but I also have quite dry skin (which can also make any product react), so just something to bear in mind. Overall, it was pleasant product and I would definitely recommend this product to friends that want a cleanser that is soap free.

The second item is the Rose & Geranium Bath oil. This smelt so good. I have to say I love these scents in any case and both make a relaxing combination. This was velvety on my skin and felt perfect to run lightly on your body after taking a shower. You can also put a couple of teaspoons into your bath if you prefer. I prefer to use it directly on my skin, where it absorbed well and made my skin feel soft.

The facial oil is next, and is a product I am not familiar with, as when I have used facial oils in the past; although I have dry skin, I find a facial oil often gives a greasy looking complexion. The Pure Lakes facial oil doesn’t do this in any way. It is of course an oil but leaves a moisturised sheen, as opposed to a greasy finish. This was smooth to apply, and again smelt gorgeous, however, it had a much more subtle fragrance than the Bath Oil.

The final product in the box is is Eye Gel. This is a creamy like gel, that is opaque, and golden in colour. Hands down, this was my favourite product. I struggle using any form of eye cream due to having such sensitive skin, but I was able to use this cream with no reaction at all. This is a first, as really the only product I put on my eye is baby lotion (from France called Mixa Bébé) or natural cocoa butter creams. I find it impossible to try anything else as I always end up with red blotchy eyes! But with Pure Lakes, this didn’t happen at all. It was a delicately scented cream that went on smoothly, and absorbed well.
