Well we’ve all come through Christmas and might be overloaded with toys, but as we have just gone back into another lockdown here in the UK, we still need plenty of things to occupy us at home. This is why our third and final Asmodee game instalment couldn’t come any sooner! Here we’ll tell you all about the game aimed at 12 years and above, and can be used as a great bit of downtime when your children have been sat at their screen time lessons all day.
As you know my children are still a little younger than the advised age, but I never really let this stop us when getting hold of board games as most of the time few tweaks can be made to the rules to adapt the game to suit younger kids. This one is no different. So if you want to find out more and whether or not this is on your lockdown board game list, just keep reading…

What we thought of the game
What surprised me about this game is how you were completely kitted out with everything you would need. Normally in a game, you have to access your own pen and paper, but with this game, you can literally open the box and get started! Let’s get started with how to play the game. So, this is a guessing game that involves having a mystery/secret word (that is decided with the roll of the die) written into one of the sketch pads provided. The next step is to sketch your mystery word onto page one and then pass your book onto the next player.
The next player then opens it up to page one and looks at the other player’s sketch and turns to page two, and makes a guess as to what the sketch is. So depending on how well you’ve drawn will depend on what the other player guesses! You then close up your pad and pass it on again and the next player, looks at your guess words and draws what you have written, and then this system is repeated over and over until you have completed the book.

When it comes to scoring, you have a friendly system or a competitive system to score. The friendly worked well for my three with them being a little younger, but I can see the fun in the competitive system! It is just really funny looking back at the original word and seeing how it is morphed into something completely different by the end of the game! Its basically a visual version of the whisper game telephone, where one person has a word and whispers it to the next person and so on and so forth until it is spoken loudly by the last person – this is the illustrative version of this and just as funny!
This is not just a board game its also a great use of education time, especially when you need your children to have some downtime from home learning, which is now focused on screen time. I love my children to interact together and this is a great way for us as a family to reconnect and have some fun and focused time. We thoroughly enjoyed playing this together, and so funny! So if you think this is something you can see your family enjoying check out where to buy it from below.

Original and important for the cognitive development of children, very interesting.
Thank you, we love playing games with our children
These are so cool! I love these cultivating games for my kids, much better than watching tv in my opinion.
I agree, so important to get kids to not always have screen time

I agree, we have such fun when we play these games
We loved playing games with our kids when they were growing up. Now that they’re in their 20s, we STILL play games. Such a great thing for family time.
It is such a great activity to do as a family
It looks like fun playing this game, especially for the kids!
